Satellites is a summer event for young people, brought to you by the team at Youthscape. It’s a five-day gathering, designed to inspire teenagers to live with God at the centre of their lives for the other 360 days of the year.

Every group that registers will be able to claim 5 free Satellites tickets – worth £645

We know budgets are tight and not every family can afford to send their teenagers away over the summer. So we’re making a bold offer for 2024 for a limited time only. Every group can register five young people for a free ticket provided it’s the first time they’ve been to Satellites.

Here’s how it works:

Register your group today for 2024 by buying an adult ticket for £109 or just paying the deposit on an adult ticket for £25.

Once you've bought one adult ticket (or paid £25 deposit) and created your group, we'll email you with straightforward instructions on how to add your five free tickets.

You can allocate those tickets to any young person that has not attended Satellites previously. Terms and conditions apply – see here for full details

Add other leaders and young people as you need to at any time before the event.

We’ll be providing advice and support if it’s your first time at Satellites so you can feel confident about having everything you need from permission forms to kit lists.

2024 theme: signal fire

One of the greatest gifts we can give young people is to teach them how to pray. Prayer is the key that unlocks lifelong faith; it's a refuge in times when everything else is failing; it's a compass when we're lost and a firework when we're joy-struck. Prayer is the subject of a thousand distinct metaphors, and they're all both true and insufficient. Why? Because prayer is direct connection with God, and the pathway to making sense of life itself.

At Satellites next summer, we're going to focus in on this primary bedrock of Christian faith. We'll hear from some of the world's best teachers on prayer, and we'll explore the myriad different ways in which we can connect with God, both together and alone. Perhaps most importantly, we'll have scores of opportunities to try out prayer in practice. And all of this comes with the aim of sending young people home with the tools they need to develop a prayer life of their own – a precious gift that could last a lifetime.

What’s it like?

A typical day at Satellites…

MORNINGS

After early-morning sports and exercise options for the committed – our day starts with a choice of creative ways for young people to explore the Bible – whether that’s listening to a speaker, discussing in your own group or doing something creative or reflective. We’ll help young people connect with Scripture, perhaps for the first time. We’ll come together for a main session – loads of fun, worship, relevant teaching and the powerful sense of being part of something bigger than your youth group – 3,000+ young people exploring faith together.

Afternoons

There’s something for everyone through the afternoons – our cafés and venues, plus our arts and sports programmes are open giving young people a huge choice – whether that’s hanging out in the skate park, having a discussion about faith in real world, getting advice on your mental health or just eating way too many ice creams and doughnuts. The one thing you can be sure of is that the young people you bring will not be bored, even for a moment.

EVENINGS

Our main sessions are the highlight of each day and take young people, if they want, on a carefully-planned journey into deeper faith. There’s no pressure to respond and we’ve designed our approach to prayer and ministry around the local youth group and youth leader – meaning you can follow up whatever happens once the event is finished. Late night the party really starts – music, fun and a real sense of being away for a brilliant holiday with your friends – old and new.
